Language Xchange Ireland propose groups of students an opportunity to improve their ‘Business English’ through our structured, multi-tiered English Learning Programs. For programs with a Voluntary Work Placement component, students' skills and interests are matched with a local company or business - known as a Voluntary Work Placement Provider.
Voluntary Work Placement programs are typically 2 weeks duration and provide student groups with an opportunity to gain international business experience, improve English language skills and enhance life skills through the experience of participating in a Voluntary Work Placement, living with an Irish family and attending social and cultural events and activities. This program is most suited to teenagers aged 17 years upwards on arrival to Ireland.
Voluntary Work Placements can be for a duration of up to 4 weeks on request. Please see our 'Internship' information for work placements longer than 4 weeks.
Voluntary Work Placement programs consist of five core elements:
- Free 45 hrs E-Learning Package prior to arriving in Ireland
- Voluntary Work Placement
- Irish Host Family for duration of stay in Ireland
- Access to local social events
- A Cultural Tour
Programme travel and transfers are included.
