Business English Language School in Ireland
Our English Language School is a unique feature of Language Xchange Ireland and a service we are very proud to offer! Our school is located in an Irish state school and your students can mix with up to 180 Irish teenagers, when attending our Language School in Ireland.
WHAT IS A BUSINESS ENGLISH LANGUAGE SCHOOL?
We believe that the very best way to gain English language skills is to be fully immersed in the language, particularly for students who wish to become competent speaking English in a school environment. We provide a variety of programs that optimise students’ ability to learn ‘Business English’...and our Language School Package is one of our exciting programs offering that opportunity!
This Language School offers English Learning Programs for student groups aged 12 to 19 years. These programs are typically 1 or 2 weeks in duration and provide students with an opportunity to improve their English language skills, and enhance life skills through the experience of attending an Irish school, living with an Irish family and attending social, cultural and sporting events.
As a result, our students develop confidence speaking English in a live school environment, expand their vocabulary and learn English terminology. A warm welcome and friendly Irish hospitality are a cornerstone of our services and a strong feature of the Language School experience!
Our English Language School is located at our affiliate school, Grennan College, in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Grennan College is a progressive second level education facility delivering education services to students in Co. Kilkenny since 1958. The college has an extensive range of student facilities and caters for a wide range of academic, practical, creative and technical abilities. Language Xchange Ireland is very proud of this affiliation.
WHAT WE OFFER
We offer one and two week English Language School packages which can be tailored exclusively to meet your group's needs!
Our One-Week Business English Language School Package offers student groups:
- Free 45 hour E-learning Package prior to arrival in Ireland
- 5 days at our affiliate Business English Language School which includes daily opportunities to interact with Irish students
- Daily transfers to and from school
- 6 or 7 night stay with a friendly Irish Host Family including all meals & packed lunch
- Varied and interesting social and traditional sporting events with local English-speaking students each afternoon
- Fun Speed Networking event on day one to accelerate the integration between your school and Irish students!
- A Cultural Tour (if flights & trip duration allow)
- Airport transfers
Our Two-Week Business English Language School Package offers student groups:
- 45 hour E-learning Package prior to arrival in Ireland
- 10 days at our Business English Language School daily which includes daily opportunities to interact with Irish students
- Daily transfers to and from school
- 12 to 14 night stay with a friendly Irish Host Family including all meals & packed lunch
- Varied and interesting social and traditional sporting events with local English-speaking students each afternoon
- Fun Speed Networking event on day one to accelerate the integration between your school and Irish students!
- A Cultural Tour
- Airport transfers
Students attend classes specific to the English Language Program in the mornings and have opportunities to integrate with Irish students during daily breaks and through participation in extra-curricular activities in the afternoon.
A local member of the Language Xchange Ireland team is available 24 hours, 7 days a week to provide support.
OTHER DETAILS
- Classes take place at one of three Grennan educational facilities in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny (Grennan College, Grennan Mill Craft School and Grennan - College Equestrian Centre). School details can be viewed at http://www.kilkennyvec.ie/content/read/title/grennan-college
- The school Principal will determine which of the three facilities your students will attend - this will be mainly based on classroom availability and each school’s event calendar (90% of classes will take place at Grennan College)
- Maximum of 15 students per class
- Your Business-English Language School Program dates can be secured with a 25% deposit with the remaining fee due 2 weeks prior to the commencement of your individual program
- Optimum dates for maximum English language exposure are September to May (Irish academic year)
- Classes are approximately 4 hours per day
- It is recommended that students wear their own school uniform and bring sportswear and outdoor clothing
